Healthy Choices: Spirulina Breakfast tip

Ingredients:

    • 1 cup natural yoghurt (probiotic for healthy digestive system, source of calcium).
    • 1 teaspoon (tsp) powdered spirulina (Superfood)
    • 4 strawberries, hulled and cut in ¼ or a handful blueberries (vitamin c, antioxidants).
    • 1 tsp honey manuka (as a natural sweetner, antibacterial).

 Method:

1. Place the yoghurt, spirulina and strawberries (honey optional) in a glass and stir with a spoon

2. Once mixed through, all yours to eat!

OR

3. If you prefer a smoothie, just add all the ingredients with ¾ cup of low fat milk (if you prefer soy, rice milk) into a blender until smooth.

4. Place in a glass and add mint leaf for garnish.
