The Oxford Dictionary defines SUPERFOOD as:
A nutrient-rich food considered to be especially beneficial for health and well-being 1.
Despite common use of the word, there is no official scientific definition of the term “Superfood”. Well my dear bloggers, Superfood’s, are not only nutritional and beneficial foods but subsequently may offer incredible dietary and healing properties for health and well-being. For instance, vitamins & minerals, proteins, antioxidants, essential fatty & amino acids. All of which we require in our diets but sometimes impossible to achieve due to busy lifestyles. Over the coming weeks I will introduce some Superfoods and advise benefits including simple ways to incorporate them as part of a healthy diet. Please take note that these foods may help promote wellness but there is no substitute for a balanced and varied diet.
